We learned a new song today called 'Bonjour!' Click on the Songs Tab to listen and sing along.
We are continuing to establish routines in our classroom. It is very important to send the plastic envelop to school with your child so that they give it to us right away in the morning (this is an important part of our routine).
Please practice opening snacks and containers with your child. Sending a fork or spoon is greatly appreciated.
September Scholastic went home today in your child's envelop. If you would like to order Scholastic, orders are due September 19th.

We went to the library today. We will be going to the library every day 4. On this day, your child will be returning the book they borrowed. (A calendar will be posted on our blog by the end of the week to show you what days we will be going to the library.)
Reminder - please label all items such as water bottle, snack box, jacks, hats, umbrella, gloves, etc.
Reminder - All plastic envelops should be going back and forth from home to school every day, even if they are empty.
We started using white boards and dry erase crayons today to practice numbers 1-5 in French!
If your child brings their lunch to VCC or to daycare, please separate your child's snack from their regular lunch kit, merci!

Your child has brought home a plastic folder. This folder will be used for notes from school. Please read and fill out any notes that go home and return them in the plastic folder. Every day your child will bring the folder back to school.
We are looking forward to our Fall Welcome this Friday! Our kindergarten colour is purple. All kindergarten students are asked to wear purple that day. The kindergarten team will be in the library learning commons that morning to socialize with you.
We did some exciting work today! We started our entry routines which includes coming in, putting your lunch kit on the shelf, copying the word of the week, then playing with blue tub activities. We also used stickers to write our name! Ask your child what they remember about the entry routine.
Important reminder: Pick up and drop up time is very important for us to get all children in and class started. If you have important message for us please write them down on a note and place it in your child's folder. We look in the folders every day. Pick up and drop off is not a good time to speak to your child's teacher because we are getting our day started or have supervision. Thank you for your understanding.
