Happy New Year! We heard that everyone had a fun winter break. Today in a sharing circle we discussed fun activities we did with our family and friends during the holidays. Today's journaling entry was about - Mes vacances d'hiver. Students drew something about their holidays.

During physical education we have started to discuss what kinds of things we will be learning during this month's gymnastics unit. We played a tag that incorporated mats that we will be using in gymnastics.

                                           

We learned a new song called La belle pieuvre. It is now posted on our blog for you to practice at home. This month we will be learning new French animal vocabulary and learning about different animals and their needs. We have a new veterinary clinic in our dramatic play center along with a few new bloc building activities at the bloc center area.

We will need volunteers to sign up for this month's skating activity that will be Tuesday January 21 at the Varsity Acres Community skating rink.
Also there are spots to sign up for play-dough making, merci!
