Our winter theme continues with a story and discussion about different things we see during winter time and the activities that we do during the winter months. We also discussed how to prepare ourselves to stay warm during the fun time outside.

We enjoyed a visit with Mme. Alanna today! Together we reviewed how to make a group plan and how it is very important to listen to all the members of your group in order for a plan to succeed. In groups of 3 or 4, groups of students created a plan to build something out of materials in the classroom. We all worked together to share ideas, listen to each other and use objects to execute a plan together.

We worked on a very cool winter art project today. We learned how to draw ourselves tasting snowflakes outside. We started this project using a pencil to draw the picture incorporating different shapes, then used a shapie marker to trace the outline of our drawing. Then with oil pastels we added some great colours. It was fun learning how to use pastels.
