Another fun and busy day with Carnaval activities!  We started our day with a visit from our gr. 3 buddies and worked on braiding friendship bracelets together.  We ended our day with outside play involving toboggans and skis.  In between it all, we managed to fit in two new letters (N, O), plus our songs and center time!  Wow!

Tomorrow, the students will be having a special music class with Mme Zdrill on how to play the spoons and will also receive their Carnaval snack while we share valentine cards (if you choose to have your child participate, reminder that they must bring a card for everyone).

Reminder, there is no school on Thursday, Friday (Teacher's Convention) and Monday (Family Day).

For all the teacher-parents in our group, if you're still deciding on your convention sessions, Mme Michelle is helping to present: Alberta Teachers' International Cooperation Initiatives: Teachers Reaching Teachers (Thurs, 10:45am - 12pm, Glen Room 205).  She will be sharing parts of her story of being selected by the Canadian Teacher's Federation to join a team of 5 Canadian teachers who went to Uganda this past summer to work with administrators and teachers.
