It's come to our attention from the office that a significant portion of families have not yet paid their field trip / activity fees. If you have not done so already, please go to your online to your powerschool account to pay your child's activity fees. We would appreciate that this will be paid before our first field trip (with the PM class) this Friday. Merci!

Today we worked with the number 9. We practiced representing 9- neuf - in different ways, even using our bodies to form groups of 9. Our mot du jour was also neuf!

Today is I read Canadian day! It is an inaugural event celebrated on February 19th that encourages and celebrates Canadian authors. For us in our classrooms, it involves taking time to read a book by a Canadian author and recognize the day with students. We read a story called We Share Everything! By Robert Munsch who is a very famous Canadian Author! For more information about this day, please visit: https://ireadcanadian.com/day/

We practiced the sounds for r and s; "rrrrrr" like the sound a lion makes, "sssss" like the sound of a snake - serpent.

We are taking turns to practice reading sentences about family in front of our class. This has also been great practice for our homework. Reminder - homework presentations about your child's family is due this Monday February 24th. Please allow them some time to practice at home before their presentation to the class.

We have been admiring all of our family pictures we have so far! Our board is filling up. If you haven't sent a photo of your child's family, please send one in soon :)
